The breakage of the component that acts as the hinge for the coffee bean hopper lid has become a recurring issue. The excessive length of the shaft that positions the lid mechanism makes it possible to apply a levering force, particularly when the machine is operated by shorter users. Over time, this can cause the plastic component in which the shaft is mounted to break. Once this component is damaged, the lid can no longer function correctly. In many cases, the small plastic fragments resulting from the breakage end up inside the grinder and can cause it to become blocked. Mercadona would like to know whether a more robust solution or an improved version of this component could be considered to prevent this recurring failure. I have noticed that the shaft currently used in the 0.5 kg hopper (150.290) is shorter and more robust, and its curved shape could help reduce the levering effect described above. Would it be possible to use this shaft in large hoppers?
